Crocheting Away......

Good Day Everyone! :)  Here with another post today and I'm so super excited on this one too....I've been crocheting alot...I mean...alot! alot! LOL...Somewhere between now and a couple of weeks ago...I've seriously got bitten by a "Coaster Bug"......COASTERS! COASTERS! COASTERS! Is all I can think about these days lately...I have like tons of ideas of different kinds of sets that I would like to make. I've also been looking at patterns for baby items, like beanies, booties, and I would so like to get back into making blankets. OMG you guys should see all the yarn I have now...and when I start working on a project why is it that the color I need is a color that I do not have???? LOL...I am so loving making these coaster sets, it gives me such a natural high and it RELAXES me so much. I can sit for hours on my bed and crochet away. It sorta feels like  I'm meditating, I can feel myself get lost in the chains that I'm stitching, waiting for the end result and watching my project come to life. And then I think to myself...you did pretty good kid! :) So here are a couple of sets that I made that I wanted to share, I am also selling them as well. I've done some research on these coasters and you wouldn't believe how big "Coasters" are out there. I have decided to make my sets with six coasters, the norm is four, but I thought to myself that's not ENOUGH! LOL. And the prices are up there too, I've seen as much as $40 for a set of four. So my prices are alot lower than $40, they are $15 per set, plus shipping and handling, which is $3.50, I also and always put a tracking number with my items, just to make sure in gets to you and that I know it was sent. Here are some pics for you all to see...I absolutely love how these came out, and hope that you will like them too! OH SNAP!

Hola fellow bloggers! Here's a scrappy project I did last year...I know...last year right....geesh. LOL But here it is, I was totally shocked how I got this to look like an actual polaroid camera....I tell you tho it was a true labor of love to get it this way...I've must have at least gone back to the drawing board at least a trillion times before I was satisfied with the outcome. It also stores a mini inside of it, and I used the adorable "The Create" collection by Recolletions. It went great with the whole camera theme. I also used buttons, acetate, gems (from the wedding dept @ Michaels) to put in the lens of the camera. It was alot of fun creating this. Here are some pics....Enjoy and Adios for now! :)

Crocheting Away!

Hello fellow bloggers! Here's a crochet project that I made for my hermana from antoher mama...LOL! I loved using all the different colors making these, they are so bright and sooooo Susi! :) This is using a single crochet, double crochet (eyes), and slip stitch...I've been learing how to read crochet patterns and at first I might as well have been trying to read Swahili because I just couldn't get the ol' noggin to compute the lingo....but just like texting crochet has a lot of abbreviations so it started stickin after awhile...I've been makin a lot of different things crocheting and it is so relaxing. I also used a H hook to create these, just like papercrafting, I am finding that I need a whole new room for my crocheting stash!!!! LOL Here are some pics of these coasters, thanks for stoppin by and Enjoy! :)

Sushi Doll Project 2

OMG! I'm so excited to show this project I finished and I just adore how this one came out...This is Susi's "Frida 2" image, she is absolutely amazing...and Susi is too, LOL! I printed this image on the full size setting, I wanted it to show more detail when I colored her. This project I did in my mixed media journal, and I'm amazed how the finished product turned out. I used quite an assortment of mediums for this project, I will put a list of them down below. The journal is from Michael's (XL Mix Media by Canson) and it's really sturdy, some of the inks that I used did go thru but not that bad. This is my 3rd project in my journal and will have to get around to showing the other stuff that I have done in it so far. Here are some pics of this project:

Where you see the crackle medium, I used that on her wings, but before I had put that on I had used gesso to bring them out, when I used the crackle finish is brought out the color from the background, I could literally see the color come thru, it was so cool to see, it was like a science project...lol. The littlw specks of white is the gesso and to me it gives it a slight abstract feel. The lil bowl of fruit and the "Jarrito" and "Panesitos" are a paper piecing I did years ago for a  project that never came to life....but they absolutey worked for this project I'm so glad I never got rid of them. :)
Well I see I'm writing a novel...lol...it's just that I'm so happy to be back into crafting again.

Here is the list of supplies I used:

Mixed Media Journal
"Golden" Gesso
Dylusions Ink
"Bubblegum Pink"
"Cut Grass"
"Squeezed Orange"
Mod Podge
Stencils
Stamps
Zig Marker
Prisma Colored Pencils
Scrapbook Paper
Cardstock

Hope that you all enjoy this project, it sure was alot of fun and for me easing of my soul when I was creating this. Thanks for stopping by and Adios for now! :)

Getting Back To Crafting...

WHOA! It's been so looooong since I've posted here on my blog...but that will soon be changing. It's true I've been MIA for a while and now I'm back to get my crafty side flowing again...it's been too long! I have some projects that I've done over the months which I will add here and on my Facebook page, not to mention to getting back on YouTube...woot! woot! I recently did a project for my bestie, Susi aka: Sillyshysushi and I'm a DT member on her blog where you can find here http://www.sillyshysushidolls.blogspot.com/, here is my first project that I did of one of her Awesome images....she has so much tatlent my hermana I wish I had her brain. Her images are all super Adorable!
This is Susi's Frida 1, I used a canvas for this project, gelatos, stamps, stickles, and my own hand-drawn skulls. The quote is by Frida Kahlo, which was soooo perfect for this image. I'm so super excited to be apart of something again, and having so much fun creating. Keep a look out for my other projects, while I was gone I kept busy with mini's, and crocheting...Thanks for stoping by and until next time Adios for now! :)
